The After Disaster (formerly known as the Loveline After Disaster) is a former companion podcast to Loveline, and now operates as its own independent program. The show is hosted by Loveline engineer Anderson Cowan, comedian/photographer Mike Carano, and former Loveline webmaster and technical specialist Tyler White.
The show is difficult to define or describe but is best thought of as extremely free-form talk, consisting of the hosts' comedic rambling and occasional phone call. The iTunes listing describes it thus, "The After Disaster is an extremely famous podcast overflowing with cannon blasts and machetes. No topic is off-topic and every topic is interrupted. The show is hosted by Loveline engineer Anderson Cowan, professional photographer Mike Carano, and all around ruiner-of-things, Tyler White."
The show was originally conceived as an after-show for Loveline and was recorded immediately following it (hence the name After Disaster). However during a dark period when Loveline was taken over by an unidentified and extremely out-of-touch manager, the hosts were told that the show was to have no association whatsoever with Loveline. The After Disaster now records once a week at any time the hosts feel like, usually from one of the hosts' homes or other location such as the Hollywood Improv.
